Underneath the Moon Tree | Chapter 17

Giraffe had just experienced one of the most beautiful moments of her life. She always believed those kinds of moments were supposed to be shared with another. But in this moment, she learnt something different. When she went in search of what she thought was her creature friend calling to her…she paced with anticipation whilst following his voice.

However, when she reached the place where she thought he would be and he was nowhere to be found ~ she saw this as an opportunity to meet herself there instead. Rather than being filled with disappointment ~ she felt herself being filled with gratitude, beauty, love and peace as she stood underneath the most incredible moon tree she’d ever seen.

In this moment, she didn’t need anything or anyone outside of herself in order to feel at home or connected. Her home was everywhere she allowed herself to feel lit up and free. She knew that if she heard him calling again, it was just a reminder to meet herself and be just as eager to do so. Perhaps the more she met herself there, he would meet himself too…in the same serendipitous land.
